Our Harvest Day is called Thanksgiving Day in America and originated when the pioneers began to grow gardens and reap the harvests in the autumn season. On this day, we bring fruits and vegetables from home, and then make our lunches from them. We also take a moment to thank our bountiful earth for all the goodness it provides for us. …What would we do without fruits and vegetables…?

This year, we had fun with different kinds of gourds, even counting seeds! We ate the Orange faces we created and the Grape/Kiwi turtles we pinned together with toothpicks. We even chopped ingredients for soup; it was probably so delicious because we made it all by ourselves!
